I don’t know about you, but I don’t always feel like I have that Christian joy I’m supposed to have. Sometimes I can feel too busy or too tired to be joyful. But what is joy, really?

– Jack Hyles
Although the fig tree shall not blossom,
neither shall fruit be in the vines;
the labour of the olive shall fail,
and the fields shall yield no meat;
the flock shall be cut off from the fold,
and there shall be no herd in the stalls:
Yet I will rejoice in the Lord,
I will joy in the God of my salvation.
– Habakkuk 3:17-18 | KJV
[Joy] is a cheerful revolt against self and pride.
– Richard J. Foster
Joy is not necessarily the absence of suffering, it is the presence of God.
– Sam Storms

– Elisabeth Elliot
Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer.
Romans 12:12 | KJV
Joy is a net of love by which you can catch souls.
– Mother Teresa
Thou wilt shew me the path of life:
in thy presence is fulness of joy;
at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.
Psalm 16:11 | KJV
Christian joy is letting Christ live out His life through you so that what He is, you become.
– David Jeremiah
May we all always have that joy on the inside and share it with the world outside!
